Nov 7, 2011 1:47 AM in response to Rocky Vegasby 2pacy,I have exactly the same issue too. I put it to charge overnight and in the morning I have 95% or less. Seems that when reached 100% it stops charging.

Nov 7, 2011 5:19 AM in response to r0adkiilby HLS LeO,Replacing the phone doesn't work, eventually you'll run into the same problems, it's a software issue, I went to the Genius Bar, and they were aware of the issue, the girl who helped me had the exact same issue... She said Apple is aware of this issue and will fix it in 5.1 release. Some people are having this problem after the 5.0 updates on older phones as well, it's not just a iPhone 4s thing.

Nov 7, 2011 5:39 AM in response to HLS LeOby Nansue,HLS LeO, I think you are right, especially since the problem exists on older phones after the 5.0 update also. I've read that elsewhere too. Patience:).

Nov 9, 2011 1:47 PM in response to Rocky Vegasby ivyfromsan diego,I just bought my iphone 2 weeks ago and had no problems....last night I plugged it in all night ....this morning I noticed it did not charge. I just plugged into my computer at work for about 30 minutes and the green light is barely coming on. That is rare. I will keep an eye out for it. If it happens again i'll return the phone!

Nov 10, 2011 1:03 PM in response to Rocky Vegasby HLS LeO,GUYS TRY THIS: it's worked for me, before you even plug your phone in to charge double click home button and CLOSE ALL ACTIVE APPS, don't run any apps after that and if you do, make sure you close them immediately, so far I've been waking up every morning with 100% charge and the plug instead of the lightening bolt... :)

Nov 11, 2011 12:01 AM in response to Rocky Vegasby r0adkiil,the 5.0.1 update is a battery fix, so update and see if that changes anything!

Nov 11, 2011 6:57 AM in response to Rocky Vegasby The MDR,I woke up, and my battery was at 96%. I upgraded to 5.0.1, then after it restarted and everything, I unplugged it, and did a full restart myself. Put it back on the charger. It got up to 100% within 10 minutes. Left it on for over an hour, played with it on the charger, and it stayed at 100%. Let's hope it's fixed! Tomorrow morning will be the true test.

Nov 13, 2011 5:20 AM in response to The MDRby The MDR,The software update didn't work. I went back to the Apple Store. They gave me another phone - my 3rd so far! This morning I woke up, and my phone was at 97%! So this has to be a software, or charger problem. I give up. I'll keep re-charging before I leave in the morning, every day.

Nov 13, 2011 6:24 AM in response to The MDRby Nansue,Software update has worked for me -- my phone has been at 100% every morning since I updated it. Before the update, it was down to about 97% every morning.

perhapes its a software bug?
-
Nov 15, 2011 6:31 AM in response to Kris_Tuby Nansue, well, yes -- it is widely considered to be a software issue, and as i said in the post directly above yours the update has fixed it, at least on mine. Go to Settings, General, Software Update.

Nov 17, 2011 6:26 AM in response to Rocky Vegasby sandmarq,My iphone 4S is updated to 5.0.1.
At first I tought that the problem was with my charger because it was fully charging on my mac mini and not on the adapter. I went to the apple store and they gave me another charger. But it didn't fully charge with the new charger,
So, I last night I connect my iphone 4S on my mac mini and went to sleep. When I woke up and look at the charge status. It was saying 100% with the battery status icon saying "charged". I keept my iphone connec to it and was doing my stuff before leaving for work.
So, just before I leave and just before disconnect it to go to work on I look the battery status icon and it was saying charged at 97%.
It lost 3% in less than an hour will doing anything with the iphone even if it was connect to a usb port....
:S I'm confuse because, nerver had this issue with my ipod, ipad.....
There's something going on and nobody seems to be able to find any real answer to it.
