Q: iPhone 4S battery not charging completely

My 4s stopped charging few weeks ago as well.  I don't see the lighting bolt symbol when i connect it to AC power or through USB.  My PC doesn't recognize the device so I'm not able to back up anything.  The power button is not working as well so I'm unable to reset the phone.  The only thing that's working is when the phone is fully drained, I connect it via USB and it charges through my PC to about 30-40%.  I took it to Apple Store they said nothign is wrong with the battery but they can't fix it and asked me to buy warranty by paying $199 to get a new phone.  This is insane and if Apple can't stand behind their products they'll quickly start losing customers.  Any advice from anyone regarding anythign else I can try?

Has anyone had this problem resolved?? So my iPhone 4S won't hold it's charge, if it completely goes empty it will charge is there anything that I can do to fix this??

My problem is similar but different in the sense that my battery's not charging but the charge logo is active as though it is charging. The only way it actually charges is if I plug into the computer. This has been going on for three days now. I give it a full night's charge and it's actually not charging. I've even power cycled my phone and no success. I have a feeling it has to do with updating the software. Smh

I'm having similiar problem with my 4s. it charges on my cable not my laptop itunes doesnt recognize my device and it discharges quickly and it doesnt show charging bolt.
