Camera won't work after iOS 5 update

Help! I recently updated my iphone with iOS 5 and now my camera won't work. If I use the feature of double clicking from the lock screen, I can access the camera and it looks as though a picture or video is taken, but then when I click on the camera roll square at the bottom left, there is just a black screen, no photo/video has been saved. Also, if I try to access my camera roll from the Home screen, after clicking on "Camera roll" there is about a 5 second delay and then the Home Screen pops up again.

Any solutions would be much appreciated! I need my camera back :-(
