I tried to purchase music in iTunes and it says, "Make sure your computer's date is set correctly and that it can accept cookies from the iTunes Music Store." How can I fix that so I can purchase music again?

I can't purchase music, or download any of my digital copies of moves until I get this problem fixed. I've never received this message until I updated to the latest version of iTunes. My computer is already showing the correct date and time. How do I find out if it is accepting cookies from iTunes?
