i downloaded it and i was watching it and it froze so itunes closed and re-opened but the rental disappeared.i went to "store" then to "check for available downloads" i clicked and it worked...8 min later it froze restarted and know i cant do anything please help i want my money back and i just downloaded it so i could be expired already

Exactly the same problem for me. Got about 1 hour into watching the rented movie and itunes froze, forcing me to do a 'force quit'. On restart there was no sign of the movie anywhere. File was nowhere to be found via finder either, and 'check for available downloads' says that 'all purchases have been downloaded'.
What a waste of money... No wonder people turn to more reliable illegal methods.
