I am using a spreadsheet to work out commissions on sales. I need to show the original price, the commission percentage charged and then the remaining sum due. Can anyone help me insert a percentage and then a subtraction formula? Thanks Vedeco
I assumed the commission is a set value (but made this example so you can change the value):
a percent is calculated by taking a value (let's call it Amount) and mutiplying by the ratio of a portion to the whole.
90 percent is 9/10 or 90/100 or 0.9/1
In this case 1.2% is (1.2/100)
B4=A4*$B$1/100
C4=A4-B4
