So I finally decided to update my iPod Touch, paid 5 bucks (i remember it being 2...) and as soon as it starts downloading I get this error

Several people are receiving this same error when downloading the 3.1 Update for 1G iPod Touches and so far no resolution. You may need to report a problem with your download to the iTunes team in order to resolve it. See this link for more details.

thanks; even though it [is displeasing] to hear... Hopefully non-resolution is not the answer here as I really can't stand this constant 'buy new' propaganda that seems to infiltrate our society =(

i decided to give it a go on my Win7 machine and see what happens but I can't find the link to redownload it.. =/ how the heck did I find it the first time?
