iPad Calendar does not synch to Macbook Calendar

I have the same problem!! This was first asked some time ago and I have been searching for an answer, but have not found one. COULD SOMEONE FROM APPLE PLEASE ANSWER THIS??!! It is a real pain and a black mark on an otherwise great product.

I have tried sync-ing via the cable and via wireless. No difference. My SW versions are: iPad: 5.1.1, iTunes: 10.6.3, OSX: 10.6.8. My iPad is an iPad1; my computer is a MacBook Pro.

Do you have Calendar turned on in iCloud on your iPad. I could not get anything to sync until I did that.

Thanks for responding. I do not have iCloud turned on because I have not upgraded my MacBook Pro to Lion or Mountain Lion. My understanding is that I do not have access to iCloud until I do this. Is this correct?

Got to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and confirm that you have selected the calendar listed under you iCloud account name as your default and not something else such as On My iPad or On My Mac. If you don't, change this and then add a new event to your iPad to see if it syncs properly now.

Your question is different as you are not syncing calendars via iCloud. You need OS X 10.7.4 or later to sync your Mac with iCloud. If you are having problems syncing your calendar with iCal on your Mac, try resetting the sync services folder as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627, then try syncing your calendar again.
