disable apple software update

Question

How do I disable apple software update for itunes, and quicktime? If I can't disable it, can I uninstall it and still have Itunes and Qucktime work?

Launch ASU and go "Edit > Preferences". In the following screen, click "Never":

It is set to never but it still pops up monthly.

Which operating system are you using aturo? (XP, Vista or 7?) The procedure for the next thing I'd check on with this differs from OS to OS.
