Is there any way to get a log of imessages?

Prior to IOS5 I could look at phone records to see how late kids were staying up texting and the different numbers they were texting. Is there a way to do this with the new imessaging feature? Not trying to look at their message, but monitor their activity.

iPhone 4, iOS 5

As iMessaging is just so much more data, unless your bill breaks down the times and duration of data usage, you probably won't be able to do what you want by looking at the bill. Some carriers, such as Verizon, have parental controls which let you control when certain phone functions are used. I don't know if you want to go as far as restricting data after certain hours but that might be a possibility.

Best of luck.

Thanks but the problem is that the imessaging texts no longer appear on the phone records (ATT) because they aren't using the cellular service to send the text. I can still see texts on the phone records to people who don't have iOS5 or iPhones, but not the texts to people who do have them.

I guess what I'm trying to find out is there something within the apple id's that I could view to see imessaging details, just like i was able to do through the phone records when they sent traditional text messages.

Yes, that's what I said. I understand the problem. If, however, your bill breaks down when data was being used, you might be able to tell when they were using data on their phone. Using data would also include web browsing, sending and receiving email but it might still be useful information.
