Q: boot disk is full Full after restart all back to Normal

Hi People,

 

I have a question, something strange is happening to me since Iinstalled four MacPro XSAN with Snow Leopard Server.

After you have created disk Xsan, after some time the machinesshows that the boot disk is full.

The disks have enough space and fill up too fast.

But the most curious thing when machines reboot the disks backto normal.

I checked the settings XSAN, caching and other such by Userand the truth and do not know where to look.

I'm Checking if Final Cut Capture Scratch which do not generateas much information as to fill the disks.

 

Anybody have a some tips how to fix the issue.

    When you see this happen, you might want to look in the /tmp directory.  Look for a file called build_hd_index and note the size.  If there, it is likely huge.  This is a run away process associated with Apple Remote Desktop. 

     

    To stop it, I've simply renamed the process that makes it happen.  You can find it:

     

    /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Support/buil d_hd_index

     

    Use a command like:

     

    sudo mv /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Support/bui ld_hd_index /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Support/bui ld_hd_index_bad

     

    Then reboot the machine.

     

    Hope this helps
