Mobileme upgrade to iCloud registering computer
Just upgraded to iCloud from Mobileme but wont register computer so I cant sync. Just get a circle forever.

Have you defined your mobileMe ID in System Prefs > iCloud?

Only icon in System Pref i have is Mobileme. When I open Mobileme it says under Account that I have been upgraded to iCloud
Are you running Lion v10.7.2? You can't upgrade to iCloud without Lion installed.
You would see iCloud in System Preferences if you are running Lion.
Can I upgrade to Lion v.10.7.2 from OS X 10.5.8 without any problems? Will I have to do anything else you think?
No, you have to go to Snow Leopard first.
You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard v10.6 before you can upgrade to Lion.
But you need to make sure your Mac can upgrade to Lion before you bother with Snow Leopard.

You need to upgrade RAM (memory) at the very least to 2GB.

You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard first.
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)
That will install the App Store for you. You can then download Lion from the App Store.
You can purchase the Lion thumb drive if you prefer to install it that way but you must have upgraded to Snow Leopard v10.6.8 first.
