Is it still possible to fix this?

I dropped my iTouch 4G in the toilet, stupid move. I grabbed it out immediately. It looked fine but the speaker STOPPED working! Its fine when the headphone is on but when I take it off the ipod is still STUCK in headphone mode. But when I use the SOUND option in settings it worked fine without headphones, but its when I play music, etc it doesnt work. Please help me, my mom told me its useless to go to the Apple Store to fix it now, since it got wet. Is there any hope?

Quick! Since you got your iPod 11 months ago, you still have one more month to take it back to the Apple Store and ask them to fix it! Your iPod touch is covered by a 1 year limited warrenty. It'll probably be an easy fix and they probably won't have to give you a new one. They have a way to "dry out" your iPod.

Remember to backup the data before you take it to the Apple Store, because if something happens, you can't get your data back!

A warranty covers defects in workmanship or materials. It does NOT cover user damage.
