Sorry if this is in the wrong place, couldn't find an appropriate discussion for it so I figured why not put it in the powerbook one seeing thats what I bought!

I heard from somebody that students get a 110$ discount on the AppleCare plan. Is this true? Also, how would I go about doing this?

    Hi Natey --

    Go here: http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/routingpage.html

The Apple Store for Education -- they offer the Applecare Protection Plan (APP) (extended warranty) for a PowerBook/MacBook Pro for $239, that's $110 less than the regular Apple Store price. (You have up till one year from the date of original purchase to buy the APP extended warranty.

    Enjoy your new 'Book.
