This issue has been resolved on 2.1.2 that was released on that last Friday.

I also have a similar problem.

While my messages appear on the screen as they come in, when I open the application, I lose my messages and they disappear.. never to be seen again. Also, from time to time, Viber freezes and shuts down.. when it feels like.

I have a new I phone 4s.Any advice?

Unfortunately retreiving old messages is not possible (since we don't keep our users' chat history on our servers).

Is your iPhone 4Gs locked by password?

Yes, we suspect that this is the trigger for the problem (and are working to fix it).

Please try disabling the lock, then reinstall Viber. See if the problem persists now when you reboot.

Hey, i just got my iphone 4S and i tried downloading the Viber app, i initially chose the 'do not allow push notifications' but then it said that i have to go to settings and turn them on, so i did but it still kept saying that they are off and that i have to turn them on so i did it again, and again, and turned the iphone off and on, and again to the settings, but nothing seems to work, it is stuck on the idea that my push notifications are off! what should i do? i also tried deleting the app and downloading it again.. nothing works

Viber 2.1.3 is now available on AppStore. Install it and see if it solves your problem.

I am using viber 2.1.3.244 for iphone 4, and I am having problems with international calls. When I call someone internationally, I hear the phone ring and it just keeps on ringing, while the receiver will answer and then gets a dial tone. When the reciever tries to call me, and I answer the call is disconnected. What is the problem? I am using AT&T not sure if that is the problem, but it would be great if you could address this problem

It shouldn't matter where the 2 Viber contacts are located in the world. The source of the problem is different.

Please ask the contact who is abroad (whom you are trying to call) whether Viber works for them or not when they try to make/receive calls from other Viber contacts. Their network might be blocking Viber's ports.

In other words, tell them to connect to different WiFi networks and see whether or not Viber works on them.

I have an iPhone 4, Verizon wireless, using Viber version 2.1.3.244.

I get push notification that I have a new text message, but when I go the Viber app to read the entire message, the message is not there. After happening 4x today, I restarted my iPhone and asked a Viber contact to send me a test SMS. Same thing—I got the push notification but the actual text message is not recorded as a conversation.

Please address this issue. Thanks in advance.

@linarabaia I have the same problem too with viber tried the notification thing in their support nothing happend. Did it fixed yours?
