iPad Template

Hey everyone,

I am trying to create something in Pages which sounds simple, but I seem to fail at achieving such a simple task.

I am trying to create a template for note making on the iPad, but my settings do not remain in the document. I select Blank from the templates, and then change the default font sizes, but pages dont seem to retain these changes when I hit the return key, and default back to the original settings when Inuse a particular style. Is there any way around this?
