I cannot get rid of videos on my iphone 4. I have tried manual synching but the same movies remain and new ones are not added

I cannot get rid of videos on my iphone 4. I have tried manual sync, but the list is not altered. I cannot remove videos, or add new ones. Before OS 5 all was well...?
