Rearranging songs in my playlist?

I have searched and made sure Shuffle off. Left-most column clicked.


iTunes simply will not allow me to rearrange my playlist songs.


HELP!

I was having the same prob...when I found the answer @ this link, fourth box down labeled Mar 29, 2003 2:15 am.

It reads:

"You can't reorder songs if they are sorted by one of the other headings." After reading that a few times I figured out they were talking about "Name" "artist" "album" "genre"....etc so I went back and clicked on the very first box which is over the number itunes gives it to let you know how many songs are in your playlist...when I did VIOLA!! I was able to reorganize the songs the way I wanted!! Hope I helped! Blessings! 🙂

I cannot reorder manaully for a Smart Playlist. However for a normal playlist in Itunes on the mac I can just drag them to whrever I want in the list.

Then if i click on the left hand column to sort I can move things around. I also have selected in View > View Options Sort by Manual Sort
