How do you get rid of zedo.com pop-ups?
Every time I go to the TVguide website I get a zedo.com popup.
Are they "dangerous" or just a nuisance? [I do click on the x to
get rid of them, is that stupid of me.

Probably harmless, I'm assuming you use Safari. If that is correct then click Safari - Block Pop-Up windows. I don't know if your version of Safari supports extensions if it does then you can also go to Safari - Preferences - Extensions - Get Extensions - then locate and add Ad Block.
Thanks, I had been assuming [hoping?] they were harmless.
I will do that ad block though to see if that does eliminate them.
I'm so out of it I did not even know about AdBlock. I'm always nervous adding things to my computer [I don't even add any browser other than Safari!] but am psyched to think I can get rid of all annoying ads! [Which are particularly disturbing when it's an ad for something connected to my individual buying history!] THANK YOU SO MUCH for the tip.
O Man. I am such an idiot. Now I'm nervous I did something REALLY REALLY STUPID. At the end of installing the AdBlock extension there was a page that came up that said, "This is the last ad you will receive now that you have AdBlock and it had a picture of a nice looking couple asking you to pay for AdBlock even though it was advertised as Free, saying it took thousands of hours to make the software etc.etc.etc. And you could choose to pay "0" etc.
And, maybe really foolishly, using the PayPal option, I did give them a little money.
Now I'm worried that that page was "hacked" and is like a virus or something?
Don't worry, it's bona fide. Adblock is created by Michael and all he's after is some well-deserved income for his efforts.
You'll probably get a 'thank-you' from him, in due course.

I'm sure they will appreciate it and no you did nothing wrong, in fact it was generous of you to offer them something for their work.
