Problem mounting usb disk connected to AirPort Extreme

I am using an AppleScript to mount a usb disk that is connected to my AirPort Extreme.

The folowing command works:

mount volume "afp://AirPortExtreme._afpovertcp._tcp.local"

However, I am told this command should also work, it doesn't:

mount volume "afp://AirPortExtreme.local/Backup"

Can anybody explain why not?

Airport Extreme-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
