iMessage "delivered" but not received

Hello all,

Me and my fiance both have iphones 4. both runing IOS 5. with different Apple ID's

both have Imessage on and with the viewing read option on (the one that shows, when u read the message).

here's my issue; when i send her a Imessage on my iPhone it says "delivered" however she never gets them, so i always find my self having to click the message again and having to send it as a regular text which is becoming really annoying since me and her text ALOT!!. but the issue is only happening with her, with all my other friends using iphone4, 4s, 3gs, and ipod touchs running IOS 5 it works fine.

Any ideas on what i should do. thanks to all.

I've had this problem since starting to use iMessage. I would say about 1 in 10 imessages to my friend never gets delivered even though iMessage says it has been. I have, for other reasons, restored my iPhone a couple of times in the last couple of months and it hasn't helped that problem. It wouldn't be so bad if the app actually reported "not delivered" - at least I'd know! This is a serious bug!

Same problems here. Current iOS (5.1) and unique Apple ID, but many of my text messages sent as iMessages never arrive at their destination even though they are tagged as "Delivered" ....

This is still going on? I switched iMessage off weeks ago and told everyone I knew to do the same - it's totaly unreliable in my experince and in the experience of everyone I've discussed it with.

I have not upgraded to ios 6 yet but even on ios 5 I have seen a big reliability improvement with iMessage recently.

I fixed my probkem by reseting the networks. Go to setting about reset networks after days of mesding with my phone this worked

My sister had this problem. In her case a solution was quite easy. She deleted gmail address form apple id and put another e-mail address, not from gmail. iMessage is working now.
