So since Imessages are like an instant message these dont show up on the bill any longer? Is there a way to see the history of imessages like when you look on your bill you see you history of text and phone calls that month.

Youll need regular SMS messages to avoid being charged for texts to NON iPhone/iMessage users. (If you notice - iMessages are blue and SMS messages are green)
Which is why you still need a text plan.
As for tracking iMessages - if its anything like BBM (which I used to have) it doesnt show up on your bill in any way.
Since iMessage does not involve your carrier, exactly how would you expect them to show up on your bill?
iMessage usage is data usage.. If your plan/contract charges you for data, then it could show up on your bill, or shows up against any data quota you have. But not as SMS/MMS.
So what's the point of having unlimited txt? And so there's no way to track them?
