Duplicate Drop Box Folder in Public Folder

Hi!

I'm using Lion 10.7.2. The Drop Box folder appears twice in my Public folder:

  • in English = Drop Box
  • and in French, default system language = Boîte de dépôt

User uploaded file

If I delete one of the folders, it reappers later on.

Are you experiencing the same problem? Have you find any solution? Thank you!

It appears that

  • the [English] Drop Box folder doesn't have a .Localise file
  • while the [French] Boîte de dépôt does have one.

How to proceed?

  1. ask for hidden files to be shown—I use the superb Onyx utility
  2. go to the Public folder
  3. delete the [French] Boîte de dépôt folder
  4. copy/paste the .Localise file into the [English] Drop Box
  5. magics happen: Drop Box is now called Boîte de dépôt 🙂
