2 iCloud accounts on one computer?
CAN YOU HAVE TWO ICLOUD ACCOUNTS ON 1 COMPUTER?
CAN YOU HAVE TWO ICLOUD ACCOUNTS ON 1 COMPUTER?
I have the same question, but with my PC. My wife and I both have icloud accounts. Currently, the photos I take on my phone back up to my icloud account and are accessible on our PC. I would like to have the photos my wife takes on her iPhone to also be accessable on our PC. We don't really want to have two separate accounts on our PC because that just makes how we use our PC (primarily as a family PC, mostly for Photo management and limited other projects).
I'm getting the sense that we cannot have two separate iCloud folders for both of us on our PC.
Yes, you can if you set up the separate iCloud accounts in separate user accounts on the computer. If multiple people use the same computer, that is the recommend setup.
Hi, I seem to be having a problem with this. My husband and I share a Mac. We both have separate user accounts in this same Mac. However when I logged in to my user account and sign into my iCloud, it still shows my husband's iCloud contents (he is the prmary user of this Mac).
any suggestions on how to fix this so I can access my iCloud contents?
@Sjazbec
I'm having some unexpected issues with aliases and can not wrap my head around it.
I'll try to explain what happens with my setup.
I have a AppleID@me.com email address with iCloud.
I also made up to three aliases, with corresponding 'real names'.
Main for myself (primary) (real name: Bob)
Alias 1 for my wife and me (real name: Bob and Chantal)
Alias 2 for my wife (real name: Chantal)
Alias 3 for online purchases (real name: Marktplaats)
What one would expect an alias to do is this:
The thing is that it works as expected (1,2, and 3) until I reply to the e-mail that people replied to me (4).
The 'real name' changes into my 'primary' 'real name' (the e-mail address is the correct one from the alias). If I accidentally send this mail they receive an e-mail from another person. I can manually set it correct but it's an accident waiting to happen to forget to change it.
This only appears to happen on Apple Mail in Lion and not in the iCloud web interface.
Is this a bug in Apple Mail? Are my expectations for aliases to high?
Are you experiencing the same issues?
Thanks in advance, Bob
no. Would also make zero sense.
But if you are only for Email : you can create in www.icloud.com 3 Email aliases to maintain different Mail adresses that all are sent to the one and only Mail.ID of course.
Say you want your main @me.com adress and use this to login to icloud :
in www.icloud.com you go to mail and click on the settings icon, there is an "alias/Adresses" item that let's you create for instance
FUNNYJOKES@me.com for whatever
NASTYNUDITY@me.com for adult stuff
SPAMEMENOT@me.com for one time usage
so .. all these adresses you receive mail from and can also sent. They all are jut aliases to the Main adress "seriousbusiness@me.com" and will land all in your icloud inbox on your Mac and idevice.
You can also delete aliases you no longer use or need.
but then he should have mentioned that .. so it was reading as he runs a single user OS .. 😕

I, as a single user, have a great reason to use 2 iCloud accounts on one computer. I migrated both my business and personal mobile me accounts to iCloud. I was unaware of only one account on a phone at a time. Untile the migration, i had no problem using these accounts on one phone. i am one user trying to use two exisitng email accounts.
Have the same issue... I migrated my original apple ID, and my .me ID to iCloud. Did not realise that I should migrate my shopping ID ONLY, and then create my email .me in there. Now I have 2 icloud accounts, and need booth for email porposes.
Sorry 4 my English.
Let's assume you have two iCloud accounts, A and B. A should be the one with your calendars and contacts.
You sign into System Preferences>iCloud with A and check off Mail, Calendars, Contacts etc. as desired.
Now you go System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and add account B. This will be your 'secondary' account and will appear in Mail where you can collect and send as you would expect. You will not be able to sync any calendar, contacts or bookmarks data with B.
That was really helpfull, I was just trying the oposite way, everything into my iTunes account... instead of using my iTunes account just for that, for Shoping; and then my .me account for the rest, contacts, calendars, and so on.
Thanks a lot!!!

I lost my mac.com email on July 1. Thanks to this string I now have it back. Who knew that I had to migrate in order to keep my email working. Of course I now have four apple IDs, but a small price to pay.
If this makes 0 sense, seems to me you have 0 imagination. I think it would be a really easy way to assist someone with their contents of the iCloud. e.g., I have many contacts that my wife would like to have and if I could open both icloud at same time I should be able to simply copy to hers. Same with photos, appointments, etc.
Sorry! Did not see Roger's post. Also perhaps I should have said I am using Windows 10 and I am not familiar with Internet Accounts. Control panel has Internet Options but I haven't found Internet Accounts.
I believe that IMAP and DAV are both supported on Windows, so you should be able to enter at least a mail, calendar, contacts account in Windows somehow that does not use the iCloud control panel. Outlook could do it. If it were me I would use MS Exchange.
