where are podcasts stored on the iPhone?

Help Please. I'm a new iPhone / iTunes user and am stumped. I downloaded a bunch of podcasts using iTunes, and they are all showing up and available in my iTunes podcasts library. They are all checked off, and I think that they synched over to my iPhone, but I can't figure out where they are on the phone to play them. I went into iTunes on the iPhone, and looked in the library, but they are not there. So I looked in other locations, where I can browse for may other podcasts to download.

probably a little late but I just had to figure this out on my own, and would have appreciated the answer. I am not sure if this is your problem but (referring to the iphone 4s) you click on music --> more --> say abra kadabra --> click on podcasts and voila.

Podcasts does NOT show up on the phone with the new software. Using iPhone 4, latests iTunes software... Why does Apple do this?

You have to install the podcast app. Login with your Apple ID and all the podcasts are there. The app is a purple/blue colour.
