Iphone keyboard not working properly.

Hi all,

Pls let me know how to solve the problem. I have iphone (3GS) and this is now not working properly with keyboard 1st line.

Means the middle parts of my phone is not responsed. I cannot touch any application icons or keypad around that area.

Totally, 20 icons in there if all screen filled. I cannot touch 3rd line and 4th line from top.

Someone advise me to upgrade OS and unfortunately i forgot my phone cannot touch on some screen. Now my phone cannot continue updating process.

Pls give me advise what to do.
