I have a Edirol Midi keyboard PCR-50 and I can record a software instrument with it but There is no monitor so I can't hear what I am recording. How do I turn on the monitoring?
Unlike when recording a real instrument the stereo/mono/monitor control in the lower right window is not there for the midi/software insruments.

It should automatically work.. provided you've told GB what to do with the sound.
Go to GB Preferences > Audio/MIDI, and make sure Audio Output is getting sent to the right place.

thank you for the input, it turns out that it is only the organ section that I can't get monitoring on. I can hear piano, strings and everything else, maybe my organ plug-in is faulty?
The organs are kind of different...
It may be that your keyboard is not sending MIDI data on channel 1.
Can you reset the keyboard to factory defaults? Sometimes that solves problems like this.
