hi,
I want to use the IPhone Configuration Utility to configure the APN. I downloaded the latest version of IPhone Configuration Utility for windows and installed it. But it is not working, it gives the error "failed to create an ipc port access is denied". i tried the older version too and it give the same error. i have windows 7 and IPhone 4 with IOS 5.
is there a solution!!!!

also it gives this error "failed to connect to an IPC port: the system cannot find the file specified"
I also tried it on Windows XP Professional (Service pack 3) with .NET framework 3.5 SP1 and it is ot working. I can see it in the task manager (processes list) IPCU.exe for a few seconds and it terminates without showing on the display.
is there anyone who used it on Windows.
I have the same problem since a few hours.
This morning I used IPCU and it worked fine.
Now I needed it again and I start it get a full black screen and had to close the program, rebooted to make sure and now i get the IPC port error.
Did you guy's find any solutions for this ?

the iPhone Configuration Utility 3.6 for Windows will not start up/load anymore.
It worked fine at first, then I tried to start it up today and I got an error:
failed to create an ipc port access is denied
Now there is no message at all. Just wont launch.
I find NO support at Apple. I have seen about 20 other cries for help on these forums and no seems to have received any help for this. Does anyone know how to get this Utility working?
I am using Windows XP SP3
I have tried upgrdading to .NET 4 SP1 from .NET 3.5 SP1 and that didnt work so went back the other way and still no change.
I tried completely uninstalling and deleting all references in Regedit and reinstalling from the start about 4 times.
I tried completely uninstalling and then going back to an older version (2.2) and it doesn't work either.
Unfortunately there is no help on Apply that I can find and trying to find an -actual email support for Apple software or products is a joke- (man, nothing is more aggravating when you need product help and the provider hides or completely does away with any way to contact them for help ro sends you on an hour long search for it...)
I need to get this working as I am providing an easy iphone configure for my VPN service. Can anyone help?

Does iPCU run if you launch it as a different user on the same computer?

I suspect something has gotten corrupted in your registry or dll repository which is causing iPCU not to find one of its required dlls. I realize this isn't an exciting suggestion, but I would recommend uninstalling all Apple software that has anything to do with iPCU or MobileDevice, i.e.
Apple Application Support
Apple Mobile Device Support
iPhone Configuration Utility
iTunes
and then reinstall iPhone Configuration Utility. You may just want to remove all Apple software before reinstalling iPCU.
