Will Mobile Phone Bill Show Itemized iMessage Sender/Recipient like SMS Messages

I do not want anyone who I share a mobile phone bill with; primarily my company who foots the bill, to be able to see who i am iMessaging. In the past I have been repremanded for texting too much and they furnished a bill and proved which numbers I texted, the time, and date I texted them. Now that there is iMessage, and if I am "imessaging" someone who has an iOS5 device and has iMessage enabled, can I get away and text them withouth my company knowing who I texted and what time I texted them?

* Will the sender or recipients mobile phone bill show imessage sender or recipient telephone numbers itemized as it does for SMS messages.

I do not want the recipients phone number to show up on the bill. I understand iMessage is pure data but would rather be safe than sorry!

Primarily verizon, at&t, and t-mobile.

I'm not too sure about showing on an itemised bill but you should be aware that even if you are sending an iMessage to someone using an iOS5 device, if for some reason the apple server is experiencing problems or some other factor plays a part, your I essays will be sent as an SMS, therefore this will show up on an itemised bill.

I appreciate this doesn't answer your query but hope it helps in some way.

It should not appear as a sms. An iMessage is sent over 3G or wi-fi (the internet) and would be considered data. One thing to make sure of before using is verify that your send button is blue before sending the message. On the messaging app if you are sending a sms the send button will be green, iMessage will be blue. Also note that if for what ever reason either one of you does not have 3g or wi-fi it will turn in to a sms by default (that is unavoidable).

Thanks Huntress. It certainly does help. Do you know if I will be notified if I would prefer to send as SMS or will it just send as SMS without notice? The reason I ask, is as an AMER sender to EMEA region, one of the reasons I was reprimanded is for sending to UK mobiles without knowing there was a cost associated with it. I see you are UK. Can iMessage also circumvent the cost of sending an SMS. How I see it is as just like sending an email. I think BBM to BBM internationally cost money, but not sure if iMessage does.... Maybe I'll go to the apple store and ask.
