Clock is wrong

I have an emac and when I unplug it or when the power goes out the clock goes to December 1969 6:00 when I turn it back on. It is annoying. Does anyone have suggestions please. Thanks!

Yes, the logic board battery is probably dead. That is the PRAM battery, a little lithium battery that keeps the clock and PRAM settings when the computer is off.

If you search http://www.ifixit.com they have a step by step guide on how to replace it. The rate this repair as "very easy" and should take about 10 minutes.
