Selecting Multiple Photos during Import

Dear All,

Is there a quick and easy way to select multiple photos while importing that isn't select or deselect all ?

many thanks and apologies if this is an obvious question.

Select a photo, then "{Shift}+click" another to select all the photos between them. Use "{Command}+click" to add to a selection. (These work everywhere in OS X.)

You can use the mouse cursor to lasso photos shown in the import dialog.

You can combine the above.

Note that you don't have to check each one. Make your selection, then when you check one the photos Aperture will automatically apply the check to all the selected photos.

Also note that it can be quicker to simply import all and then discard rejects from within Aperture.

And, as long as we're nearby -- DON'T delete the images on your card/camera from Aperture. Confirm that they are imported, back them up if you'd like, and only then clear your card. Best practice (always) for clearing a card is to use the camera's "reformat" command with the card installed in the camera.
