What is the difference between DDR3 PC3-10600 and PC3-10666

I am going to upgrade my MBP memory from 4GB to 8GB. However, Apple keeps telling me to use their "DDR3 PC3-10600" and All other Apple certified MBP memory modules out there are labeled as: "DDR3 PC3-10666"... So, is there any difference between DDR3 PC3-10600 and PC3-10666 (other than the number). They are both rated as 1333MHz, 204-pin (Apple's price $400 😢, OEM price $49 😎)

Also does anybody know what the CAS of the Apple memory is or How to find the CAS of the Apple memory?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

BTW, I am not asking about the BUS speed, Both the MacBook Pro (early 2011) and the memory are 1333MHZ bus. My question deals with :

Apple's DDR3 PC3-10600 and the other OEMs: DDR3 PC3-10666

They both have the SAME BUS SPEED 1333Mhz and they both are 204-pin

DDR3 stands for Double Data Rate type three but does not imply a specific frequency or bus rate. The PC3-xxxx designates the particular RAM's speed rating and means that the memory certified as able to run at that bus speed. So DDR3 RAM PC3-1333 runs at 1333 MHz while the PC3-1066 runs at 1066 MHz.

Apple doesn't provide any information about their installed RAM other than it's DDR2 or DDR3 with a specified bus speed rating. Presumably the CAS, Column Address Strobe - a measure of latency, is not needed. I assume that means the memory Apple uses will have the same overall specs as what you would purchase in a third-party market.

I find that it doesn't make any difference where you buy the RAM as long as the vendor is reliable, has a reasonable returns policy, and provides a product with a manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty.

Just to clarify:

DDR3 PC3-10600 and DDR3 PC3-10666 and DDR3 PC3-10700 are the same. Apparently depending on the OEM, they label their memory differently so that it might look better/ faster than the competition. They all run at 1333Mhz... and they all fit the MacBook Pro (early 2011)
