iPhone App says "Cleaning..."?

I was loading a few Apps I had purchased on my iPhone onto my wife's iPhone tonight and I saw the Facebook App was lighter colored and under the icon it said "Cleaning..." instead of Facebook. It seemed to hang there, but as I am typing this entry it actually went back to normal and then I saw a briefer change to the Weather Channel App. I have never seen that happen before on any of my iPhones or on any of the previous iOs versions. Any clues? I am running iOs5.
