How can I edit 720p, 60 fps GoPro video in Final Cut Pro X?

FCP seems to be converting the 60 fps video to 30 fps when I import it. How do I stop this from happening? I'm a beginner, and I need as much help as I can get! Thanks in advance!

Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

If it's optimizing to ProRes, it uses the frame rate of the origina. Open the original into QT Player, look at the Inspector there, verify the frame rate.
