Question

problem printing canon pixma mg5150

I used my printer with my imac OSX Lion with no problem.

But with my macbook vs 10.4.11 the scanning works well but it won't print. Is says the printer is inactive. I tried several times to reinstall en uploaded the drivers for 10.4.11 several times but that doesn't help.

Anybody help?

Did you repair Permissions & reboot after installing the drivers?

I did reboot after installing the drivers , but don't understand what you mean by "repairing permissions"

I didn't do anything about permissions.

would that be a solution?

Possibly, open Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, highlight your drive on the left then near the bottom click on Repair Disk Permissions, reboot when it finishes & try setting up the printer again.
