Earphones won't fit into MacBook pro headphones jack ! Help please !

I wouldnt suggest sticking anything in the earphones jack, if something is jammed in it, you might just jam it in further. May I suggest using "canned air", the same type that they sell to clean the dust off the keyboard (which comes with a handy straw type adapter). Perhaps it will blow out whatever the obstruction is.

If there is something wrong with your headphone port, it's covered by your new-computer warranty, and repairing it won't cost you anything. If there's something wrong with your headphone plug, e.g. it's too thick, too thin, too long, etc., that's the headphone manufacturer's problem, not Apple's.

Did you ever get your problem solved? I got my MacBook Pro a few weeks ago and this problem randomly happened to me. Do you have any suggestions based on your experience?
