I upgraded my Iphone 4 and my Ipad 2 to the new 5.0 software, from different computers weeks apart, and now neither one of them can download music from the itunes app. I get the error message "unable to download song." Anybody know how to fix this?

On the iPhone and iPad tap Settings > Store
Make sure Music is swtiched on under Automatic Downloads.
Then restart the devices.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Already tried that but thanks. Its not just the automatic downloads that won't work, its all downloads related to music. I will purchase a song on my ipad or iphone, and get billed for it, but then get a download error everytime.

Make sure these computers are authorized.
Launch iTunes.
From the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer
Computers had to be authorized before I could even update to iOS 5 😉
I'm having the exact same problem. So whenever I buy music on my Ipad it fails to download and then my computer starts downloading the music. So I have to sync the Ipad every time to get the music on it, but it confuses the Ipad so its still trying to download the music and now I keep getting "Unable to download at this time" messages.
