I am unable to move more than 1 email message at the same time from my hotmail account set up in Mail application. Is this a bug? I know it works fine in Outlook 2011 but not in Mail App.

Not likely it's a bug as it's not affecting everyone. Mine works fine with MobileMe/iCloud email. My wife's works fine (separate login) with verizon.net email. Disk and permission repair wouldn't hurt but I don't want to give you any confidence.
What happens when you attempt to move two or more messages?
well, it does not work with yahoo or hotmail accounts. What I am trying to do is select multiple mesages and drag and drop them in a folder stored on my desktop.
When doing that an envelope symbol appears with the number of messages being moved in a red background, note there is no green plus sign, and when I drop emails the icon disappears and they stay where they are in the mailbox.
Well, it appears that I lied to you. I can drag and drop multiple messages to folders INSIDE the Mail application but, when I try to copy to a folder on the desktop, I get the same result that you described. One at a time works.
No clue what's happening.
