Yes, we know. It was announced yesterday. Several discussions on it since then.
Good thing paulcb is in the know. The world would come to an end if he wasn't. I'm sure there are plently of users here that don't know that, paulcb.
I looked at the first 5 or so pages of nonsense and didn't see any threads specifically mentioning it. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. It certainly isn't anywhere near the most frivolous of threads. How anyone can find anything of use in this forum is beyond me...

The Search Communities box works pretty well.
You're correct, there are a lot that don't know but this thread will be buried several pages down in less than an hour so it won't really help them. That's what the Search Communities box is for.
That's great if you actually have a specific problem you are trying to solve, which fortunately for me I do not. What I mainly look for are tips and tricks that will help me learn the many features of the iPhone so I can use it in ways I didn't even know existed. I am a Droid convert. I realize this forum is mainly used for complaining and help with troubleshooting problems, but I've never seen a public forum grow so quickly - there should be sub-forums on various topics so that people don't have to wade through the dozens of pages that get created every hour. It's insane.
That said, it is also very entertaining because some people post the most ridiculous things. You just have to wade through tons of crap to get to the good stuff.
Agreed on all points but this is really not a tips and tricks kinda place... there are many other sites much more suited for that. You're right though, it can be entertaining. 😉
