G4 iBook running OS 10.5.8. problems with iTunes!

I have just a G4 iBook for my dad, it is running OS 10.5.8. I was putting some updates and didnt think twice about updating itunes. Now it wont open. It needs Quicktime 7.5 or more to run. I downloaded Quicktime from the apple website and the most advanced one I can find is 7.2

I deleted iTunes and uploaded the only other version i could find which was iTunes8.2.2 (I think) and it needs Quicktime 7.3 or more to run... I need help before my dad finds out he cant upload his ipod, like i promised.

I am now back to my origonal problem of the iTune store not allowing me to buy or search through music - untill i upgrade. I can live with that!

I probably shouldn't be telling you this on Apple's own website, but try Amazon.com for browsing and buying music. You may not have the same problems there, although it's not quite as elegant as the iTunes Store.
