Calendar syncing between MB Air and iOS devices are unintelligible.

My Mac iCal has the following categories of calendars: "iCloud" and "myname@mac.com: My iphone has the following categories: ".Mac" and "cal.me.com." My iPad has the following categories: "Bob's Mac" and "cal.me.com"

I really don't need multiple copies of my calendars on my iOS devices but I don't know how the categories correlate to each other. Is there any rhyme or reason to this. And I get multiple notifications for every event.

HELP??
