Can I view video on an iphone 4s and an external monitor at the same time?

I currently have an itouch 3gen and it bugs me that I can not mirror my itouch and an external monitor when watching movies when using the built in video app. Does the new iphone 4s mirror video out? I know it will mirror most everything else, but from doing a little research the 4s won't mirror everything. Does this include videos?
