Strange "bloop" sound

Today my MBP early 2011 (with Lion) started reproduce a strange "bloop" sound, like the sound of an air bubble rising when you blow down in a straw 😮

This sound occurs even if sound is mute.

Even with no Safari pages opened this sound occurred ( you can see safari processes in the list below but it happened even with this application closed and no plug-ins running).

No active application on my Dock.

I have no disk space problems or memory problems, i have 350+ GB free on HD and 2+GB free RAM.

My MBP is completely cold, no problems about warming or processes CPU-intensive.

I tried to kill some user processes and tried to reboot my MBP but this still happens.

This sound "randomly" play every of 4-5 minutes.

This is what i have in Activity Monitor:

I had this problem for quite long and was searching around to find where the sound is coming from. I was suspicious that if there is a virus or something. Finally, it was the Skype making the 'Bloop' sound for the 'contact becomes available' and 'contact becomes unavailable'.

Open Skype, go to preferences > Notifications > from the event drop down menu select 'contact becomes available' and uncheck the play sound check box. Repeat it for the ''contact becomes unavailable'. You will have no more random sounds.
