Buying songs in a different currency

Hello everyone. I was hoping someone could tell me how to buy songs and other items in a different currency than the default that iTunes offers (or direct me to a topic on the matter).

Here is some background:

- I am a Canadian citizen currently abroad for one year in Germany, involved with a university here.
- I bought my laptop here in Germany, so it has a German operating system (I'm a Windows user).
- My iTunes program is in English, however all of the displayed pages, 'Top' lists and so on are German.
- All prices for songs and other media are in € (Euros) but I want, especially in the future (once I'm back in Canada), to pay in Canadian Dollars.

Can anyone offer any insight? This may be something someone else runs into down the line too.

Thanks everyone.

Prices are in the currency of the country in which the particular iTunes Music Store operates. So the Canadian iTunes Music Store sells in Canadian dollars, the German store in Euros, etc. Since each store is required by the record companies to sell only to those in the respective country (as proved by the billing address of the credit card), there's no need for multiple currencies in any given iTMS. Unless you have a credit card issued by a German bank with a German billing address, you'll need to purchase from the Canadian iTMS even while you're in Germany.

Hope this answers your question.

I appreciate the response. Initially, I believe I set up my account with my address here in Germany, as well as initially using a German credit card. (I bought a new iPod from the Apple store.

I've tried both creating a new account (which only lets me select an address within Germany) and using my Canadian credit card, which I am told is not applicable outside of Germany.

Does anyone know what else I can try? Even if I can't use a Canadian credit card/account while I'm here in Germany, why should I expect that I'll be able to use one once I get to Canada?

Thanks again.
