Photo Stream keeps turning off in Aperture

No, I am not trying to use them both at the same time with Photo Stream. I have not had iPhoto opened in long time and I'm not sure if I have ever opened iPhoto since iCloud went active. I only use iPhoto when I want to make a greeting or post card. I just opened iPhoto and clicked on Photo Stream (on the left) and it asks if I want to turn it on. I just noticed that there is a option to click that says "No Thanks". I never turned Photo Stream on in iPhoto, but never said no thanks either. After clicking the "No Thanks" button, Photo Stream disappears from the left. Maybe that will solve the problem. I will need to give it some time to see, because it does not happen right away.

HAL 9000, so far so good after clicking "No Thanks" in iPhoto I guess effectively turning off Photo Stream in iPhoto (even though I never turned it on). I have opened and closed each program several times (iPhoto and Apeture) and have turned the machine on and off several times. Also did latest iPhoto update that was just realeased. Going to give it a few more days to see what happens.

The "No Thanks" button did not work permanently. There was a iPhoto and Aperture update; I did them both. I'm not sure if updating the applications had anything to do with the problem coming back. I checked Photo Stream in Aperture after the update and everything looked fine. The Photo Stream link on the left did not come back in iPhoto after the update, so I can't try it again. Back to square one I guess.

I just noticed when trying to turn on Photo Stream (again) in Aperture that a dialog box popped up and said that iPhoto was using Photo Stream. It also asked if I wanted to switch Photo Stream to Aperture, of course I clicked yes. So maybe they fixed the problem, because I never seen this warning before. I had checked iPhoto before turning on Photo Stream in Aperture and it was not active. As I stated above, the link on the left was not there for Photo Stream. Hopefully this is fixed by the updates!

I have had iPhoto open a few time while trouble shooting this problem. Otherwise I have not had any reason to launch it. The last time I actually used iPhoto was 3 months ago. I am not trying to use Photo Stream with both programs. I only want it on with Aperture. I only use iPhoto to make cards and import only the photos I need to make them.

I hoping the problem is solved with the latest updates, because I did not remember seeing the warning dialog box from Aperture before (as stated in my last post).
