Macbook Air shortage?

Hi guys, can you please help me out?

I'm from Malta and I ordered and paid in full for a Macbook air 13" a MONTH ago from the iCentre here in Malta. They said it wouldn't take more than 1-2 weeks to arrive, but it's been a month and they have no idea when they're getting it or why it's taking so long. Now they're telling me there's a shortage from Apple of Macbook Airs, which I highly doubt! I suspect it's just an excuse to shut me up.

Is the Macbook Air available in your countries?
