My iphone 4s just died....

it had about 60% battery and at some point just shut off. Now it wont turn on, even when plugged in. No apple icon screen flash or anything! It has never been in water or even handled by my kids, just my pocket. I think it might be a hardware failure. Anyone else have this issue?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5

Well apparently I am having the same issue that is described here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3400745?tstart=0

I am going to the Apple store since I am tired of this phone shutting off on me now. If it helps, my battery was at about 60% and I unsuccessfully tried using Siri about 3-4 times a few hours earlier.
