Force quit finder

RE: How to Force Quit Finder or how to install and update properly with out a text box popping up saying "Quit all open applications and try updating again. If the problem continues, contact Apple support."

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.


You can Force Quit the Finder by opening the Force Quit pane (Command + Option + esc) and scrolling to the bottom of the box, choosing Finder, and clicking on the Force Quit button at the bottom of the pane.


As far as installing and updating properly, what are you wanting to install and/or update?
