question about the 1.1 upgrade

I had read a few posts a while ago about how apple would possibly be releasing an upgrade that would fix the short battery life in some 5G iPods. Does the 1.1 upgrade fix the battery life problem in any way, shape, or form? Thanks.

I have never read or heard any such statement. Apple does not release a fix list for their updates other than new features.
