Can I install Pro tools 8 on an IMac with LionX

Hi, I have Pro Tools 8, I want to buy the IMac with X Lion. Some people say I cannot install Pro Tools 8 on it, some say I can.. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Matt,

If you go to their site and check compatibility, you see your answer - no and yes: Pro Tools SE 8.0.3 with patch.

It's always best to check the Developers site for any compatibility questions on all of your 3rd party software before you get Lion. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks Al,

My problem is that patch is for Pro Tools SE 8 and I have LE 8. Do you, or does anyone know if that patch fix works on Pro Tools LE 8 as well?
